The house including all buildings – 5+ in total – is in an original, natural state, meaning: the building materials were natural solid stone, brick, mud brick, lime, natural solid wood, clay roof tiles.
The whole property is unspoilt, the buildings are made of natural materials, almost nothing was added, so you get an eco property that can be easily restored, as everything is in great condition, considering the age.
The floors in the main house are all solid original wooden floors in great condition. They just need to be sanded and polished, but I personally would even leave some with the patina, as they are.
All windows are original wooden windows. They need some restoration, and here and there a small glass pane needs to be replaced. But they are in great shape.
The main house consists of 3 rooms on the upper floor, which is reached by an outside stair case. Underneath is the basement with a solid natural stone foundation, and solid natural wooden beams. One basement room has a brick floor, and several wooden windows, it would be a fantastic farm house kitchen.
There is electricity, working, everywhere in the main house and in the extension, the summer house, as well. The main connection was recently replaced by an electrician, there is a new consumer panel (or switch / breaker board) in the main house and well as a sub panel in the summer house, with a newly installed power outlet, which I have used for power tools.
The summer house has a kitchen, currently consisting of the old sink. The summer house has plumbing, the water supply comes from the village. Though the property has its own well, plus an outdoor sink in the garden.
The summer house has also a small dining room and a bathroom with a wood burning shower and a sink, both are connected to the water supply. Toilet is either the traditional outhouse in the garden as found in most older Bulgarian village houses, or in form of a composting toilet, I have built. The property offers plenty of space for a septic system, though.
There are two solid brick houses, that are marked as such in the official property plans, on the property, two red brick barns with clay tile roofing, done the traditional way. There is also the grainery in the heart of the property, which was used for drying and storing grains, seeds, herbs, nuts, and feed. The basins for storage are still there. The grainery needs replastering but is other wise in great condition.
The front garden in front of the main house was used by the previous owners as a vegetable, fruit, and berry garden. The front side yard was used for animals. One barn consists of a horse stable and a second room for smaller animals. More old stables have been half demolished, the were built attached to the neighbouring house. Some walls of solid natural stone and also mud brick walls are still standing.
The back yard consists of a brick barn, the vinyard, and vegetable patch.
